Chic like chocolate – Mathilde Brunelet’s beautiful Parisian artwork

Mathilde Brunelet comptoir du cacao chocolate

I’m a sucker for desserts… and a sucker for pretty packaging. Add the two together and you have Rach dropping hundreds of dollars on chocolate she never even wanted or needed in the first place!

So say hello to these uber pretty chocolate bars from French brand Comptoir du Cacao. They were about $50 each (*wince*) so I have to stick them on here to claim that as a blog investment, right?!

Anyway, as usual with all my favourite artwork, it involves pretty girls (even better, with cute dogs in tow!) in even prettier surroundings – this time, it’s Parisian landmarks and very lovely they are too. So you have the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Élysées, the Sacré-Cœur in Montmartre, the Moulin Rouge in Pigalle and the Cathédrale in Notre Dame… and yes, I do realise that there’s one very conspicuous absence (the Eiffel Tower was sold out). I can also single-handedly say these are way nicer than any souvenir I bought when I actually went to Paris!

Anyway, they are the beautiful creations of Parisian artist Mat.b (aka Mathilde Brunelet) and you can check out more of her gorgeous artwork on her blog or her Etsy shop.

Every time I write one of these posts, I lose several hours Googling all this prettiness in the name of “research”… so make some time for procrastination and disappear down this Gallic rabbit hole!

P.S. Sadly, the chocolate itself sucked!

  1. Yes, they’re very pretty indeed! Good taste in the artwork, how about the chocolate?

  2. I just bought 5 of them for 3.99 each at Homegoods. They’re at TJ Maxx too..
