Doubling down on teatime treats! Me scoffing a mid-autumn afternoon tea of @peninsulahongkong’s famous custard mooncakes, alongside an old @piratetb drawing of me eating afternoon tea at @langhamhk. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival everyone! 🌕One bite delights! Fantastic kueh pie tee at @meannoodles - crispy pastry shells stuffed full of deliciousness, then stuffed into gob at double speed... what’s not to love about that?! 🤗 #byinvitationWimbledon's long over but strawberries and cream vibes are still going strong at @kerryhotelhk! This incredible cake, created by chef Christophe Renou while competing to win the title of MOF (i.e. one of the best craftsmen in your field in France), was a feather-light summer sensation; it's available throughout summer for pre-order at the Lobby Lounge 🍓 #byinvitationStill in denial that I'm no longer on holiday... Well, do you blame me with this weather? 🏞 #nofilterneededIs there any day that wasn't made better by burrata? Top-notch Italian food at @giatrattoriahk - including not only that creamy hunk of gorgeousness, but also an insanely delicious truffle strozzapreti and perfectly cooked sea bass. Top tip: head to their food store Mercato downstairs for some equally awesome Italian groceries at very reasonable prices, including plenty of ingredients used in the restaurant itself (the truffle brie is a MUST)! 🇮🇹#byinvitationPlease send help. Severe case of post-holiday blues 🇬🇧As a dessert fiend, it's my obligation to tell you to get your asses over to @clairedelune_official's pop-up at @pmqtastekitchen and swoon over this delectable chocolate cake filled with rich chocolate mousse and macadamia nut crunch, served with cognac ice cream - absolutely divine! (The pop-up ends 9 June btw) 😍 #byinvitationHave had the pleasure of eating lots of white asparagus this season, but this dish at Gaddi's has to be the highlight - white asparagus panna cotta with baby beetroots, an exquisite rainbow of colours and flavours 🌈 #byinvitationIt's taken until May but I am finally excited about a new restaurant in Hong Kong! Everything at @arborhk was amazing - especially this melt-in-mouth A4 wagyu beef with a rich malabar pepper sauce and the most incredible Okinawa sweet potato mash doused in yuzu butter (SO good, need yuzu butter in everything from now on please). Premium ingredients, precise techniques and full-throttle flavours from chef @eric.raty - the best kind of fine dining experience in my book! PS dessert definitely needs its own post #byinvitationAbsolutely loving the laidback vibes of @kerryhotelhk - and of course, the most laidback meal of them all, afternoon tea! Their picture-perfect tea set includes lots of lovely Chinese accents - including tea-infused cakes, mini char siu bao, Hokkaido cheese tarts and refreshing cold-brew teas - and costs $468 for two people. A new favourite for me! Pro tip: take the ferry back to North Point and catch the sunset on your way home 🌅 #byinvitationFOLLOW ME ON TWITTER
